This album was primarily recorded on-location at The Sage Gateshead. Most of the tracks were laid down in several of the rehearsal rooms across 5 days. The microphone techniques were simple, with the majority of sound coming from two room microphones, and with close mic’s set up to supplement or boost each instrument later in the mix.

We overdubbed vocals and extra layers of instrumentation in Blueleaf Studio the following week to complete the recordings. This included some experimentation with cheese graters, newspaper and several percussive elements.

The production process was a smooth collaborative process between myself and all three of the band members who were actively involved during each stage of the recording, editing and mixing of the album. It was thoroughly enjoyable to work with artists of such integrity and vision.
